Dumpster Diver!
This Monday my city is having a household trash pickup. You can leave out any furniture, etc you don't want and the city will pick it up for free. Well I was very excited, not because I need to unload a bunch of stuff, but because I do need some furniture for my next apartment...and since I've already raided the Parent's Furniture store (read: go home, steal furniture, hit the highway, hope Mom doesn't notice), I needed some more free options.
Oh my way to the library I saw several things I wanter: an easter egg wreath and a couple of bookshelves. I couldn't stop then, but planned on getting the items when I came home.
However, by then they were all gone! Apparently someone else wanted every item I wanted. Not only that, but some people had trailers and were going through the neighborhood getting everything they wanted.
I'm not 'hatin' but I was disappointed. I didn't know dumpster diving was so competitive!Labels: freebies, furniture and decorating |
