| Work, work, work |
I've decided to go abroad this summer and so I've been working like a 'mofo' to save up money for my trip (and continue to pay for my expenses). I'm actually glad to not live on campus now, because the fees to live on campus are going up A LOT for next year. To park on campus next year it will cost you $500 (I park across the street for free), not to mention the dorm fees (in which you're required to move out for a month over Christmas break, making it hard to find a part time job) and required meal plan---it makes it very expensive. And since you have to pay for it all up front, I'd have to get a student loan just to cover that. It's much cheaper (even counting utilities) for me to live off campus with a roommate. Plus it's nice to get out of the 'bubble'.
So far this semester I've been working 20 hours a week and I'm taking 15 hours of classes. That plus studying leaves me NO time at all to do much of anything. I really need to go do a huge grocery shop, because I've been spending a lot on fast food and a) I'm sick of it b) it's so expensive and c) I don't need all of those calories!!!!
I have a confession to make

I HATE leftovers. I just love for my food to be fresh. That's why its so hard for me to make food ahead of time because I tend not to eat it. I think this semester is going to be full of chicken breasts :)
In other news I'm having a dinner party this Saturday for all of my single friends who had no lover for valentine's day. I'm giving myself a budget of $50 and I can't wait to go shopping on Friday to get everything for the dinner. I decided to have the dinner on Saturday because then all of the Valentine's day items will be on sale.
