This has been the year of single for me.
However, I have grown a lot because of my lack of dates this year. I went on vacation by myself, overcame my fear of dining alone by myself and now I'm about to tackle the biggie: a holiday by myself.
Due to the prohibitive cost of gas and exams that are coming way to fast, I've decided to stay in my house this Thanksgiving and not go home.
I have never spent a holiday away from my family so this will be totally new for me. I plan on splurging on a chinese dinner (sesame chicken YUM) and watching some British comedies.
When I compare the cost of a $10 dinner to $60 in gas (roundtrip), I can justify my dinner out!Labels: holidays |

Oh I do understand. We are planning a self indulgent Christmas for our little family this year for Christmas.
I wish you a day that fills you with peace and joy.

Good decision, even if it isn't the most fun decision.
My daughter will head off to college next year and I'm wondering what she'll decide to do about each of the holidays.

Denise I'm sure she'll come home the first year. Even if we don't say it. College students are soooo homesick the first semester.
